About

Edge Works is a web development site; small yes, but very efficient. This site was created by myself; Jeremy Laurin. It is my company built to create, design and host your site. Building a website is one of the best ways to make your company visible on the web, sell products, market ideas, connect with people and to create a blog.

What is this site for?

The aim of this site is to showcase and promote my programming and web development skills. Striving to write the best code possible I will only write valid XHTML Strict, HTML 4, CSS, and JavaScript. This makes websites compliant with the standards set out by the W3C also known as the World Wide Web Consortium.

Who am I?         

As I stated above my name is Jeremy Laurin. I am an Information Technology student at the Colorado Technical University. When I finish my Associate's of Science in Information Technology (late 2008) I will be pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in I.T with a concentration in Software Systems Engineering. Also, throughout each degree program I will be receiving certifications that are recognized by the Project Management Institute . At this point I am only building web sites and doing graphic design work. In the near future I will be taking more classes in programming specific areas like JAVA, Unix, SQL, MySql and many others. Also, I am eagerly anticipating a major, new language supposed to be released 18-24 months from now.
